It is n ot a proper expander, and the external pocket is VERY difficult because it is only one full size pocket difficult to pack with clothes and unsuitable for anything else unless the item's area is as large as the pocket - highly unlikely. So anything smaller is going to slop & slide around noticeably, encouraging anyone handling it to open it, especially as the outside pocket cannot be locked, no facility to take a padlock.
We only kept it because we were really pushed for time."
